Description
DTF film roll India — PET media for continuous garment-transfer printing
Our DTF film roll India range is blank PET carrier film for textile Direct-to-Film printing. Choose the roll width, finish and peel option that match your production setup. Roll media lets you arrange several customer designs along one continuous length, print the colour and white layers, apply adhesive powder and prepare transfers for heat pressing onto garments. The film supports the printed image during production; it is removed at the appropriate release stage after pressing.
What you receive for the listed price
- One 100-metre blank PET film roll in the width, finish and peel option selected before adding to cart.
- The price is for that selected roll, not a mixed set of all widths and finishes shown.
- Ink, adhesive powder, printer, shaker, oven, heat press and finished printed transfers are not included.
Select all options to see the applicable roll price. GST and shipping are shown separately at checkout. Quantity 1 means one selected roll.

Choose your roll width and finish
Roll length: 100 metres for each 8-, 12- or 24-inch width option. Width and length describe the supplied media; they do not guarantee the usable printed yield.
When choosing a DTF film roll India option, start with the physical media width your printer accepts. The roll width and printable artwork width are different measurements: leave the side margins required by the print carriage, feed system and powder shaker. A wider roll does not increase the printing width of a smaller machine.
| Width option | Equivalent width | Selection guidance |
|---|---|---|
| 8 inches | 203.2 mm | For a compatible narrow roll-feed setup; check the roll holder and feed path. |
| 12 inches | 304.8 mm | For equipment that accepts this physical width, with suitable artwork margins. |
| 24 inches | 609.6 mm | For a compatible wide-format printer and downstream handling equipment. |
The available finish selectors are Single Side Matte, Dual Side Matte and Glossy. Choose from the combinations actually available on this page. Glitter, glow, gold and silver are separate decorative media choices and are not included simply because related products show those effects.
Single- and dual-matte describe the media surface options; dual-matte does not mean that both faces should be printed. Identify the ink-receiving coated face before loading. Judge matte or glossy appearance on a completed transfer, because the cover sheet and finishing procedure can also influence the final surface.
Understand the peel options
The DTF film roll India selector currently distinguishes “Hot & Cold Peel” from “Normal.” Use the release instruction supplied with your exact roll. The word “Normal” alone does not establish a hot- or cold-peel procedure. Hybrid release describes the film’s release behaviour, not compatibility with UV ink, sublimation ink or unrelated printing processes.
For repeat jobs, keep the roll identity and tested release procedure together. A change from matte to glossy, or from one peel grade to another, should be checked through a complete transfer rather than treated as a cosmetic change to the same media.

Printer, ink and adhesive compatibility
This product is intended for a textile DTF workflow using compatible DTF pigment ink, an appropriate white layer and hot-melt adhesive powder. It is not ready-printed artwork, ordinary office transparency, sublimation paper or UV DTF A+B sticker film. The PET carrier itself is peeled away; the printed design and adhesive form the decoration on the garment.
A dedicated DTF printer or correctly converted printer must support the chosen roll and continuous feeding. Check the holder’s core fit, loaded-roll clearance and unwind arrangement against the physical roll before installation. A sheet-feed printer does not become a roll printer by placing a roll behind it. Reliable feeding also depends on media support, alignment and the printer’s existing condition.

Set up the roll for consistent feeding
Support the DTF film roll India roll on a suitable holder so it unwinds without sideways drag. Keep the leading edge square to the feed path and check that the film is not rubbing against a bracket or folded at an edge. Leave enough controlled slack for the machine’s transport system; avoid pulling the film by hand while printing. With a shaker or take-up system, check the transition between machines so tension does not distort the printed image.
Use the correct media width in your RIP and arrange gang-sheet artwork within the usable area. Leave space between designs for powder removal, handling and cutting. Several small logos may share one printed length, but production yield should allow for feed margins and setup material rather than assuming every millimetre is saleable print area.

From artwork to finished garment
- Prepare: set the media dimensions and the required mirrored artwork in your DTF RIP. Use the profile and white-layer settings established for your ink and printer.
- Print: load the coated side correctly and inspect a small test containing solid colour, thin lines and white areas.
- Powder: coat the wet image with suitable adhesive powder and remove loose material from unprinted film.
- Cure: process the adhesive using the verified film-and-powder procedure for your curing equipment.
- Transfer: position the design on the garment and use the required heat-press temperature, time and pressure.
- Peel and finish: release at the specified stage for that roll and complete any recommended finishing press.
Baking the adhesive and pressing the garment are different stages. Do not use conveyor residence time, an oven display and a heat-press timer as interchangeable measurements. Request the working settings for your selected finish if they are not supplied with the roll.

Confirmed matte-film working settings
For this product’s matte variants, our store confirms the following starting procedure. These values have not been confirmed for the glossy option. Test the complete transfer on your intended fabric and use compatible adhesive powder.
| Baking / adhesive curing | 160°C for 15 seconds |
|---|---|
| Garment heat press | 160°C for 15 seconds |
| Pressure | Heavy pressure |
| Release | Follow the selected peel grade and batch instructions; the selector distinguishes Hot & Cold Peel from Normal. |
| Second press | Recommended for washability. Ask for the second-press duration and appropriate cover sheet for your setup. |
For a conveyor shaker, check the actual heated-zone exposure rather than treating the 15-second baking time as a universal conveyor-speed setting. Resolve any difference from your adhesive powder’s curing instructions before production.
Evaluate transfer quality and resolve common issues
Before using a new DTF film roll India batch for customer work, make a representative transfer on the intended garment. Look at fine lettering, edge adhesion, open spaces and the surface appearance after release. Fabric construction, dyes, adhesive and pressing procedure all affect the result; this page does not promise a tested wash-cycle count for every material.
| Issue | Useful checks |
|---|---|
| Skewing or wrinkles | Roll alignment, edge damage, unwind drag and tension between printer and shaker. |
| Ink pools or fine detail spreads | Correct print face, clean coating and appropriate RIP ink loading. |
| Powder marks outside the design | Loose-powder removal, moisture and static before curing. |
| Design resists peeling or lifts at edges | Correct release stage, adhesive curing and even garment-press pressure. |

Storage, repeat orders and production records
Keep the unused roll protected from dust, moisture, direct heat and physical damage. Handle the film by its edges where practical and reseal protective packaging between jobs. Identify the width, finish and peel grade on opened rolls so similar-looking media are not mixed. Check batch-specific shelf life and storage limits on the supplied information; no unverified lifespan is stated here.
Retain a finished sample with the ink, powder, RIP and press settings used. When troubleshooting, compare one factor at a time. A short production record makes it easier to distinguish a feeding problem from an ink-loading, curing or release problem and helps reproduce accepted results for the next order.
Accessories and workflow demonstration
Pair your roll with compatible INKBANK DTF ink and DTF hot-melt adhesive powder. For printer maintenance, see compatible DTF cleaner; cleaning fluid is not applied as a coating to this film.

Machinery in that video is not included, and the demonstration does not certify every film option.
